McDonald's Gunshop was established in 1965 by Barry McDonald. It was originally located in Hopkins Street, Footscray (in Melbourne, Australia). In 1976 Keith McAuliffe began managing the store at Hopkins Street. In 1979 McDonald's Gunshop moved to it's current location at Barkly Street, Footscray, and in 1985 Keith purchased the business from Barry McDonald. Keith has hunted extensively across Australia, mainly for deer. He has made four trips to New Zealand, hunting for Red Deer, Whitetail and Chamois. He has taken a four week trip to South Africa and Botswana, hunting in the Okovango Delta. Presently most of his hunting is for duck and quail, with an occasional pheasant trip. His website was purchased by Whitehorse Arms in 2008, and we now display a wide list of classic firearms on sale at their shop in Mont Albert. Whitehorse Arms is owned and operated by Phillip Taylor, and has been running since 2000. |
